Roles and Responsibilities |
Team Leader: |
Responsible for ensuring customer needs are met through timely and efficient completion of deliverables. Act as the primary liaison with the customer incorporating customer-directed changes into the plan, and obtaining final sign-off on the deliverables. Overseeing the execution of all deliverables. Working with the customer to manage issues and remove obstacles. |
Analyst: |
Working closely with the customer and other team members to produce technical documentation of solutions, definition of project specifications and design including:
- Gap analysis: Identifying differences in functionality between legacy and target systems in terms of data needs.
- Data Mapping: Specification of transformation and mapping functions from legacy database schema to the target.
- Specifications: driven by the output of the gap analysis and data mapping activities, the specifications produced allow the developers to code the extract, transform and load (ETL) modules as well as any reconciliation and data cleanse performed during migration.

Quality Assurance: |
The role of 'Quality Assurance' ensures that data is extracted and transformed without loss or corruption by :
- Reconciliation: Counts and summations of pre-determined critical data on both legacy and target. Independently validate end-to-end migration process and mitigate any differences.
- Referential Integrity: Validation that migrated data is fit, accurate and consistent with the data constraints to be usable on the target system.
- Scenario Testing: Legacy to target checks that data has been migrated correctly for business chosen pre-determined customers whose circumstances fall into certain categories.
- Data Cleanse: Identification and correction of legacy data that will categorically be unusable in the target system.

Migration Developer: |
Develop bespoke code according to specification within the structure of ISO9001/TickIT. This bespoke nature allows us to work efficiently, effectively and flexibly within a controlled environment. The bespoke code can be broken down into the following areas:
- Extraction and Loading of raw data from Legacy/Target/Interim databases.
- Transformation: Safe, reliable manipulation of data.
